My Jobs

I currently work as a Search Engine Administrator at Seznam.cz, a. s. Before that I worked as a librarian-bibliographer at the Institute of Scientific Information of the 1st Faculty of Medicine Charles University in Prague and General University Hospital in Prague, where I worked on citation feedback processing and preparation of documents for internal evaulation of scientific workers. I also designed an application enabling efficient processing of citation responses. Before that I was employed in the National Museum Library, where I digitalized manuscripts and old prints and processed their metadata descriptions. In the past I went through the various jobs.

My Interests

I am insterested in web technologies and applications, any activity related to searching and processing information (information seeking and retrieval, information science, etc.), its presentation and the posibility of recovery. "Playing" with computers has led me to the stage of advanced user who is not afraid of trying something new and who is capable of solving various kind of problems.

My Education

After successful completion of Gymnázium J. Š. Baara in Domažlice in May 2001 I started studying Czech language and literature at the Faculty of Arts Charles University in Prague. After three years I dropped out and I began to study Information Studies and Librarianship at the Institute of Information Studies and Librarianship at the same faculty. The result of my studies is an academic degree Doctor of Philosophy (PhDr.), which I acquired after successfully defending the rigorous thesis in April 2010.
